"The Uncondemned" is a 2015 documentary directed by Michele Mitchell and Nick Louvel that chronicles the landmark 1997 trial of Jean-Paul Akayesu, the first conviction of rape as a war crime and act of genocide.
The film follows a group of young, underfunded lawyers and activists at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda who, against significant odds, prosecuted Akayesu
